My name is Kristin. I am a photographer in Austin, Texas.

I am also a tech junkie, a tree-hugger and an overachiever. I love technology and nature. Gadgets and plants. New shoes and vintage dishes.

My first camera was a Kodak 110 pocket instamatic I received when I was about 8. It was a silly little thing, but I loved it. I didn’t pick up a camera again until my early 20s, despite having inspiration at my fingertips. My stepfather is a photographer: His gear and photos were all over our house. I would watch him carefully compose and critique his pictures, and without realizing it, I was learning things I wouldn’t need until years later.

I have a photojournalistic approach to photography. I love to capture people in their element -- the planned and unplanned moments. If we’re shooting portraits, let me know if there is a place that is special to you and I'll check it out ahead of time so I can make sure there are great spots to take photos. If I'll be joining you to take photos at a party or a rock show, all you need to do is have fun and enjoy your party. Forget I'm there and trust that I'll document the event, from the candles being blown out to Aunt Emily with the lampshade on her head. From the moment you take the stage to your last encore.
